Willie was born in Pine Bluff Arkansas and attended Dollarway High School. 
After finishing high school with honors he attended Arkansas AM&N College (now
University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff) on both choir and academic scholarships.  He earned a bachelors degree in accounting in 1978 and upon graduation was recruited to work for IBM in San Jose California.   He worked in San Jose for 2 1/2 years in various finance and accounting positions and then accepted an opportunity to transfer to IBM Austin, Texas. It was here that Willie accepted his first management assignment and has been in managerial positions of increasingly higher responsibility since then. He went on to earn a Master's degree in Management in 1988 from Houston Baptist University.

In 1995, Willie left IBM to accept a career opportunity at Apple Computer Inc, Austin Texas. He has worked with Apple for 11 years and is currently the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting in charge of four accounting departments within the Controller's group.

He is happily married to a wonderful woman, Diana, and has three children, Amber, Tiffany, and Cicely.

His outside interests include a position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the IBM TX Employees Federal Credit Union, a position on the University of Phoenix Online Accounting Faculty, membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, and various activities within Wesley United Methodist Church.

The single and most consistent influence within Willie’s life has been his belief in Jesus Christ. He believes that it has been this belief that has guided his decisions and actions through the years and that any measure of success he has been afforded, is due to this guidance.

Willie’s ultimate goal in life at this point is to make a difference in this world and to leave it a better place than when he found it.
